19, 20 and 21 November 2008
It is with great pleasure that I welcome the World International Free Press Conference to Barcelona, which now reaches its third edition, a reflection of the success of the last event. Our aim is for the World International Free Press Conference to become an international point of reference and to this end we have invited the sector’s very best specialists to Barcelona.
Our programme is an ambitious one with presentations and debates involving the three big issues: the move towards multi-channel companies; models of success in the field of the international free press and business strategies in times of crisis.
Furthermore, we want to open our doors to the university world and new technologies to debate perspectives for the future phenomenon of the press and free information as well as market opportunities on offer in the sector. This edition will therefore pay special attention to the internet debate and new formats as free press allies.
The Third World International Free Press Conference is organised by the Catalan Free Press Association (ACPG), an entity which comprises over a hundred publications which produce 3.5 million issues and over twenty digital newspapers.
This Barcelona conference will be a meeting point in which those attending can share experiences and knowledge. It is for all theses reasons that I hope to be able to welcome you on19, 20 and 21 November 2008 in Barcelona’s Auditorio Axa.

President of the ACPG
